Whiskey BBQ Sauce-Jack Daniel’s Style


If You Love And Whiskey,

You will love this barbecue sauce. Not your typical tomato or vinegar based sauce, but something a little different. Featuring Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, mushrooms and a touch of for that little zing, this barbecue sauce is perfect for grilled chicken breasts, leg quarters or even the boneless skinless variety. Quick to make and mmmm tasty!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup Jack Daniel’s Whiskey
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 2 , chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce

Preparation:

  • Rub saucepan with garlic and discard.
  • Slowly melt 2 tablespoons butter, stir in flour. Slowly add broth, stirring constantly and add parsley, cook until thickened, set aside.
  • Saute mushrooms and onion in 1 tablespoon of butter until tender.
  • Add whiskey, Tabasco sauce and thickened broth. Simmer several minutes over low heat.
  • Serve over grilled or broiled chicken.

Makes about 3 cups

Recipe | Zesty Chipotle Cheddar Burgers


I found this zinger of a burger on Sargento’s web site. This Southwest inspired burger is perfect for tailgating or any football get-together. It looks like it takes hours of preparation but is in fact, very simple.

Ingredients

* 2 lbs. lean ground beef
* 2 cups medium salsa, divided
* 1 cup chopped , divided
* 1 cup finely crushed tortilla chips, divided
* 1 Tbsp. salt
* 1 Tbsp.
* 8 hamburger buns, split
* 8 slices Sargento Deli Style Sliced Chipotle Cheddar Cheese

Directions

1. Combine ground beef, 1 cup salsa, 1/2 cup green onions, 1/2 cup tortilla chips, garlic salt and chili powder in large bowl. Shape beef mixture into 8 patties, 4 inches in diameter and 1/2-inch thick. Preheat grill or broiler.
2. Grill patties, 5 minutes each side or until no longer pink in center (see below). Grill or lightly toast hamburger buns. Top patties with 1 slice cheese before removing from grill or broiler; let melt.
3. Place patties on buns. Top with remaining salsa, tortilla chips and green onions.
